Obituary for Viola Catherine Skauge (Fisher)

March 24, 1920 – January 16, 2015

Viola Catherine Skauge, late of Prince Albert, SK, formerly of Holbein, SK passed away on January 16, 2015 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 94 years. Viola is survived by her daughter: Velma (Eric) Sommerfeld, grandchildren Gordon (Brenda), Brenda (Dennis) Cromartie, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her daughter: Inez (Douglas) Bezugley, granddaughters Darcy, Dawn Wandzura, 4 great-granddaughters and 2 great-great-granddaughters; her son: Cliff (Donna) Skauge, grandchildren Greg (Carla), Todd (Jolene), Dayna (Jake) Verbonac, 7 great-grandchildren; her son: Allen, Pat, grandchildren Christie McDonald, Marty (Veronique), Kimberly Kozun, 5 great-grandchildren; her granddaughters: Charlene (Doug) Altenberg, Darlene Stene, Michelle (Gerry Love) Skauge, Tracey (Rick) Franc, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; her sister Mary (Don) Lynem; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws in Norway. Viola was predeceased by: her husband Erling Skauge, her daughters Doris and Evelyn, her grandson Grant Sommerfeld, her parents Anton and Helen Fisher, her siblings: Mildred, Arnold, Lawrence and Gordon, as well as numerous in-laws in Norway. In lieu of other tributes, donations in Memory of Viola may be made to Alzheimer Society, Saskatchewan, 301 - 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 – 1:00 pm, St. Agatha’s Roman Catholic Church, Shellbrook, SK with Rev. Tru Le as celebrant. Arrangements in care of Shellbrook Funeral Home.
